Almost two thirds of adults in the UK experienced worry brought on by lockdown, according to data polled by the Mental Health Foundation this year. Not being able to see loved ones, living in isolation and uncertainty about employment have led millions of us to experience anxiety and stress that we may not have had otherwise.
Meanwhile the popularity of CBD oil in the UK jumped by 50% in the same timeframe. It seems more and more of us are using the cannabinoid to help us cope with the new normal.
In 2019, in a study published in the Permanente Journal, American researchers concluded that CBD can help to reduce anxiety levels. Not only that, the scientists also concluded that because little or no side effects to CBD were observed, the legal cannabis extract may offer an alternative to conventional anti-anxiety medication.
The researchers concluded:
“CBD appears to be better tolerated than routine psychiatric medications. Anxiety scores decreased fairly rapidly, and this decrease was sustained during the study period. These results are consistent with the existing preclinical and clinical data on CBD. CBD was well accepted and well tolerated in our patients.”
Start by taking a small number of CUBID CBD Oil Drops each day with food or after a meal (as studies show this may help increase absorption). Remember not to swallow the drops right away! It’s important that you hold them in the mouth, ideally under the tongue, and count to 20 before swallowing. Keep a log of how much CBD you take and when, so that you can slowly increase your dosage over time and find the right routine for you.
