Do you have an overactive mind with too many tabs open? Many of us struggle with sleep related issues, from finding yourself wide awake during the middle of the night to not being able to drop off to sleep at bedtime, lack of sleep can have a real impact on your daily life.
There could be several reasons why you can’t sleep, but did you know there is increasing evidence to support that CBD may help those who suffer from insomnia?
What does the science say?
The American Sleep Association says CBD may improve sleep. A study spanning two years and involving over 400 sleep-deprived patient subjects found a significant decrease in insomnia reports among the group. At the beginning of the investigation, the average sleep rate on a scale of 1-10 was measured as 6.6. After treatment it was 2.2 with the majority of participants reporting better sleep.
Another study published in 2019 which looked at CBD use against anxiety linked to sleep, 67% of patients reported a better sleeping pattern after one month of taking a CBD supplement.
Even though there have been plenty of studies that have shown a clear link between CBD and the improvement of sleep, there isn’t enough research to prove why this is.
How do I take CBD Oil Drops to help me sleep?
If you have never taken CBD before, don’t worry! There’s nothing to be afraid of. You’ll need to experiment a little with your endocannabinoid system. Start off by taking a few drops after breakfast and the same amount again after lunch. Try this for a few days and see if it helps you dose off at night.
Alternatively, if you find that daytime drops make you inclined to yawn at the desk or feel drowsy, you may alter the times that you take your drops at. Instead of taking them in the morning and afternoon, take them in the evening after dinner instead.
